KidsMatter Primary is a mental health and wellbeing framework for primary schools. It is a flexible, whole-school approach, tailored to the school's local needs. KidsMatter Primary provides schools with proven methods, tools and support to assist schools work with parents and carers, health services and the wider community, to nurture happy, balanced kids.
Through KidsMatter Primary, Kaleen Primary School is undertaking a two-to three-year cyclical process in which we are planning and taking action to be a positive community; one that is founded on respectful relationships and a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Kaleen Primary School is utilising KidsMatter Primary to build on the work we are already doing in the areas of:
*social and emotional learning
*working authentically with parents, carers and families
*supporting students who may be experiencing mental health difficulties
